Explore the healing power of native desert plants with herbalist Dara Saville of Albuquerque Herbalism in this relaxed guided walk through the Waterwise Garden. As part of the Backyard Refuge Stewardship Series, this session will introduce participants to drought-tolerant medicinal plants found in the Southwest, covering how to identify, cultivate, and understand their traditional and contemporary uses.

Thanks to a grant from the Southern Sandoval County Arroyo and Flood Control Authority, these Tuesday morning classes at Esther Bone Memorial Library offer the community a chance to learn from local experts in a hands-on setting. The walk is accessible and beginner-friendly — a great opportunity for anyone curious about herbal medicine or desert ecology.
